Retrak began in 1994 when two young men, Paul Joynson-Hicks and his friend Matt Win started playing football with street children in Kampala, Uganda, and providing basic food and medical care.

A  young couple in  Brussels heard the need for a professional team - namely a social worker and teacher, to take this work forward. Andy & Katina Williams took on this role and developed the project and formalised the project as a registered charity in 1997.

17 years later, now with 6 projects across Uganda, Ethiopia and Kenya, our support from Churches, individuals and Christian groups is invaluable for our continued work to see zero street children forced to live on the street.
